Private space travel was illegal until 2004. This ripped away our limitations of space travel and allowed private resources to be funded. Eleven years ago, NASA, in their private sector had many advancements in their space technology. 

• They launched and returned a space shuttle to Earth

• Elon Musk's SpaceX has restocked the international space station

• SpaceX is a few years away from sending a manned spacecraft to Mars
